Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, used and protected when you use the AWE Belgium wealth archetype quiz and event website (the “Service”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Belgian data protection law.

1. Who we are (Data Controller)

2. What data we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

• Assessment & report details — your first name, last name, email address, country of residence, country of origin, business type, annual revenue range, your quiz answers, the wealth archetype calculated for you, and your chosen language.
• Event waitlist details — your email address, your explicit consent, and your language.
• Technical data — limited data required to deliver the Service securely, such as your IP address (used briefly for rate-limiting and abuse prevention).
• Local storage — your latest quiz result and your cookie-consent choice are stored in your own browser (see our Cookie Policy).

3. How we use your data and our legal basis

• To create and email your personalised report — because you requested it (performance of a service you asked for, and your consent, GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)/(b)).
• To add you to the event waitlist and send you event updates — only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw this at any time.
• To operate, secure and improve the Service (including abuse prevention) — our legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• To comply with legal obligations where applicable (Art. 6(1)(c)).

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

4. Who we share it with (Processors)

We use carefully selected service providers who process data on our behalf, under data processing agreements:

• Vercel Inc. — website hosting and serverless infrastructure.
• Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) — delivery of report and event emails.
• Cloudflare, Inc. — DNS and content delivery.
• Stripe — payment processing (only if and when you purchase event tickets).

5. International transfers

Some of our processors are based outside the European Economic Area (e.g. in the United States). Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your data only as long as necessary for the purposes above — for example, to send you your report, to keep you informed about the 28 November 2026 event, and to maintain our relationship with you — after which it is deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to: access your data; correct it; erase it; restrict or object to its processing; data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out). To exercise any of these rights, contact info@vanthroo.technology.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian supervisory authority, the Data Protection Authority (Gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit / Autorité de protection des données), www.dataprotectionauthority.be.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version.
